Carrie Matvey is one of our flight instructors. Here’s what got her interested in learning to fly:
“As a kid, my eyes were always on the planes flying in the sky. I was lucky enough to go flying with my dad, as he had his pilot’s certificate. I started my own journey in aviation in 1998. I began my flight training then and obtained the first step of my dream with a Private Pilot certificate in April 1999. As we all know, life happens and I took a 16 year break to raise 2 awesome boys. The dream of once again flying in the sky was always there , so I decided to once again pursue my true passion. I’ve always enjoyed the training aspects of my previous career, so the idea of combining that with aviation seemed like a perfect fit! I became a flight instructor last year and I truly enjoy coming to work every day. I think my office has an amazing view and am so happy to be living my dream. I absolutely love sharing my passion of aviation with my students.”
