FAA Part 141 flight schools follow a structured, FAA-approved curriculum that allows students to earn certificates with fewer required flight hours than Part 61 schools. For a Private Pilot Certificate, Part 141 requires 35 hours versus 40 under Part 61. Over the full course of training, this can save thousands of dollars and weeks of time.
